This is one of the most popular cello strings available. Many players play on these strings and love the sound and feel of them.

Our solid steel core Cello range is completed by an E string. This string is wound using precision rolled aluminum. At Larsen Strings we make every effort to ensure that our strings are of the highest quality with the consistently unique Larsen sound.

Our A and D strings are wound with a special precision rolled stainless steel flat wire. Meanwhile, the G and C strings are wound with tungsten, providing a deep, warm and focused sound with great power and personality. All four strings are offered in tensions soft, medium and strong.

Solo strings are also available. Complementing the Original range and purpose designed for enhanced projection, focus and volume particularly at the higher harmonics as demanded by the professional solo player.

The Soloist Edition is offered in all three tensions for A, D and G optimized slightly above the Original equivalents. Larsen solid steel cores with the A and D wound with precision rolled stainless steel flat wire and the G with tungsten.

Evah Pirazzi Gold

The A- and D-strings have a high-tensile steel core and are wound with a precision chrome steel flat wire, while the G- and C-strings have a specially designed steel rope core with a top-quality tungsten winding. Suitable also for electric or electrically-amplified cellos

Belcanto cello strings were designed to produce a modern sound. The strings have excellent response and keep their tuning well. The A and D strings have a steel core while the G and C strings have a rope core. The C string also has a tungsten layer for increased volume.

Belcantos are a bright, clear, optimal balanced sounding set of strings. Also available are the Belcanto Gold, which is transparent, rich and warm in timbre.

Belcanto Gold strings are 100% nickel-free and therefore suitable for players with nickel allergies.

Belcanto Strings

Spirocore cello strings are a technological advancement over conventional rope-core strings because they have a more flexible spiral core made of steel, creating a higher period of vibration than other rope core strings. The hi-tech core makes for effortless fingering, responsive bowing, stable tuning and a very long string life. The Spirocore G and C strings are available in Chrome, Silver and Tungsten.
